I quessed the wrong answer this morning but came back later with the correct answer. It gave me 250 pts and a carrot helmet. yay. So I guess it lets you keep going until you get it right?

It seems to rotate through items. I'd say it's similar to a King Altador or Lunar Temple giveaway. Looks like some days we'll get NP's and other days maybe an item. I think everyone just didn't differentiate between the days and that confused you. ;) I hope that helps clear everything up.
