Neoquest 3D preview?

#1 Post by cheetah99989 »

I found it being discussed on the neoboards and yet to be mentioned here.

Here is the link

It's a bit weird. No graphics as of yet

I don't think it's supposed to have graphics (despite the name). It's a very basic text-only RPG that's actually quite fun. I kinda like it, too!

The highest score I can get is 92...
I've only gotten 3 parts of the key. Anyone have a walkthrough?

Not yet...I haven't gotten all the way through yet. But i can tell you this:

-Key part #1 you get after visiting the NeoHome
-Key part #2 is at the spooky tree (tell him the lie)
-Key part #3 is around, not over, the hill
-Key part #4 is through the dimly lit path (I would post what I used to get through, but it's probably different for everyone.)

I'm sure there's something in the dungeon, but I haven't found it yet. Once you have all of the key parts, you'll be able to open a chest at the bottom of a lake south of your starting point.

Yep, there's a 5th one in the dugeon. Then you could open the chest...

"...
You happily swim back down to the treasure chest and insert the key. The lid pops open, revealing 10,000 NP! You snatch up as much as you can and place it in your pockets. However, before you can gather any more, the Pant Devil shows up and runs off with the treasure chest... "

They do seem to love the pant devil =.= and I only won myself 414 NP.

For reference, my path through the forest was N, W, S, N, E, W, S, W. It could be different for everyone else though.

I only got 408NP x) Then I died twice before for doing stupid things like not listening to the smart magical light faerie. The music is kind of infectious.

Just seeing the actual 3D image on the first loading screen made me think that if TNT ever put out a Neoquest 3 on a real life game system, I'd probably buy it. Well, if it came out on a PS2, since thats all we own besides original Nintendo. I havent played a video game in years because they make me sick and dizzy...but I'd play Neoquest 3.

Hahhaaha, this is awesome.

I used to absolutely love text-based adventure games. I can't wait to get home from work and play it properly.

Neoquest 3D, indeed. Tehee :D

I think it's a winner alone since it has a cameo by our favorite Orange Yurble. XD
