The Camarilla (a LARPing group)

This isn't a console/pc game, its a live action RP so I put it here...

I dunno if any of you are familiar with White Wolf's Camarilla, but I joined my local chapter and am going to my first game tonight. I'm so nervous and excited.

Any advice?

I've just joined my area's LARP, and everyone seems really friendly. So I'm new to it along with you.

Tell me how the meeting went, and is it fun?

Okay, so I spent the weekend at my first Cam event. I'm exhausted =P Full report follows.

Friday:
Timbo, Stu, and Celeste picked me up at 6:30 PM local time. We drove the 1.5 hour trip to Ruston, which is our Domain (apparently we're somewhat famous among the Cam!) We met the others and I created my Werewolf character, Robin Dragonryder (gee, aren't I original? lol). We RPed for a while, ate supper, RPed some more, then went back to Timbo's house. Created my Mage character, whose shadow name is Dragonryder (Sensing a theme?) and whose real name (and if anyone gets the reference in the last name, PM me!) is Alexandra Atherson. Crashed on couch at about 4 AM Saturday.

Saturday: Woke up 1 PM. Got up, went to lunch. Mm, Taco Bell... Anyway, went to Mage RP, got distracted by conversation about Doctor Who when my character isn't in scene. Go to supper, create Cassandra "Cassi" Dragonryder (I'm so original), my Vamp character, and go to that RP. Now THAT was fun ^_^ Cassi was turned by the Domain Prince, and left tied up by her ankles in the rafters of his house while he was busy. She was then let down by a low humanity fellow vamp, while starving, and let loose in an illegal underground fight--lots of blood in a room with a starving, newly turned vamp. =P I ripped a few throats out---fuuuunnn!!

Anyway, that's about it!!

How does LARP work? I mean, do you dress up like COSplay and act it all out? Or just sit around talking and saying what your character is doing?


I think I get that "lightning bolt" thing. I mean, I saw a youtube video or something of some people and one of them was yelling that as others ran away. I guess it looked silly but was probably fun.

That is an awful lot of spells per day, He'd need a massive Int / Cha (... Doubtful) or a high level.

In which case just Horrid wilting the foo'.
