The Limerick Game

I wanted to start up a game
Something great that I could claim
Posting a lim'rick
Shall be its gimmick
So post one and you just might gain fame.

There was once a person named Ski,
Who said with considerable glee,
"I wonder if people,
Like rhymes and riddles?"
Well, at least there's me!

Another limerick I shall construct!
I think that that line
Brings chances divine,
But if I rhyme it, I'll anger the censors.

Ski, you're such a bard,
Your rhyming is avant-garde. (Whatever. I couldn't think of anything else, okay? )
I tried to reply,
But could not comply
Because I was laughing too hard.

From this thread people eschew,
'Til we're the only crew,
I thereby concur,
It's a folie a deux,
A madness shared by two.

To spoil your wonderful game
What you thought was for two
Was for three, don't you knoow
But the theme is still quite the same.

ODE TO PROCRASTINATION

In boredom I must await
Physics, which I so very hate,
Yet so many distractions!
To lure me from my mission!
And hence I procrastinate.

I know that this is wrong,
To make limericks and songs,
When work there's much,
Waves, motion and such,
So why do I prolong?

Yet try as I possibly might,
I can't find the strength to fight
Websites and forums,
And LJ, my sanctum,
So this limerick I indite.

The above verses I cite
From my own personal site
To record my days,
A.K.A. LJ,
I hope it's not a fright!

When limericks are writ on the spot,
Of quality great they are not.
And the reason I know
Is that some time ago
My friend and I wrote them a lot.

I might post another one later,
I can't think of any way greater
To pass away time
When I feel like a rhyme...
It's better than being a waiter!

At first there was one now there's four
Ski might have to lay down the law
There's a lack of a guestlist
The crowd's growing restless
As the numbers grow more and more.

I think that if somebody tried
To limit the players inside
This poetical thread,
Then they soon would be dead
By attack from the people denied.

Tyma thought that rhyme was sick,
But I rather admire its schtick.
The ones who're left out
Will just scream and shout
And likely smack me with a brick.

The bricks are available not.
The last one that somebody got
Was thrown very far
Through the front of a car
By a person named Fiddelysquat.

You definitely should rejoice
That I am submitting my voice.
If I'd been excluded
You would be concluded...
Try guessing my weapon of choice!

We're going a little awry
By talking about ways to die.
The fact is well-known
This is not a closed zone
And there's nobody we can deny.

Well I guess it shall be so
No violence or weapons on show
But none can prevent
My intentions, hellbent
As I scheme and plot on my own.

You just keep on thinking that thought.
I'll work on my own little plot.
There is no predictor
Of who'll be the victor
For know what we want, we do not.

And now I must speak of another.
The second and last from my mother.
This poem he wrote,
Which I now have to quote,
Was written by my little brother.

There once was a big fat waiter.
He didn't want to quit till later.
But he changed his mind
Because at that time
His customer was Darth Vader.

This game didn't start an obsession
So it slumped to a sort of recession
Raz came and saved it
For all those who craved it
And now we can continue our mission.

I had a great thought in my head
That Limericks are fun
and a new thread begun
But instead resurrected this thread
