The Lutari Paint Brush.
What does this item do, exactly? Does it paint your pet into a Lutari? Or does it give it some other color paint job? (Like a lutari island meerca or something). Do you need access to anything special to use it? Example, do you need to buy the cell phone to get to lutari island to be able to use the brush?
I'm asking because my pet just got lab zapped into a lutari. As much as I want the lutari, I don't have the lab ray scientist yet as a battledome challenger, which was why I was zapping the pet. (I've already got four pets, and don't plan on abandoning any of them.)

I was just glad when they finally found a use for the clothing items...because for a long time they just kinda sat around.

Very true. But most of the current clothing items are still unwearable. They are creating new wearables for the most part, not updating the old.

It could possibly have a use in the future, though. I believe there are some pictures of Lutari Island colored pets lying around. =)

I'm pretty sure those are just shopkeepers, which doesn't mean much in the way of pet colors, especially if they showed up pre 2.0.

Who knows? Once Neopets' contract with the phone company expires they might release Lutari Island to the public and create colours for the Lutari Paint Brush. I suspect, however, that it might be a long time away.

over the years it has taken them a long time to release new words because theres SO much that goes with them (pet colours, shops, games, etc).
*in elderly voice* back in my day...neopets didnt have islands or planets. it was just one world...(neo central). Since then they've released just about one new world ever year & 1/2 or so on average (sometimes 2 new places are released at once but then nothing new is added for a long time).
it prob. wont be this year...or a good chunk of next...but maybe we'll be lucky and see it by late 2008- early 2009

Just to let you know, you don't have to actually zap your pet to get the Scientist as a challenger. Just go to this page and refresh A LOT.
