Re: does this work?
Well, if it really does work, the effects will probably be minimal. I can't imagine doing those things will for example bring a -5 back to a 0. It's also more likely that it's more meant to maintain eyesight rather than improving it. Or if your eyesight decreases normally, it would decrease a bit less quick.
And things that do work are usually scientifically proven (as well as being global news), I haven't looked deeper into it, but from the article and youtube videos, it's just some person claiming it works..

Re: does this work?
theres this girl at my school, and she said she'd been wearing glasses for 8 years. and now she dont need glasses anymore because she messaged her eyes everyday before bed.
has anyone else had any miraculous experiences with vision curing?
or read any books on the "Bates Method?" im thinking of trying it but im scared that it might worsen my vision even more

Simply put, it sounds like a load of hooey. If massaging one's eyes improved vision, I think that would've been discovered a long time ago.

well actually, it started by William Bates in the later 1800s

and in china, they teach a chinese message method in schools which supposedly prevents you from getting near sighted.

Well, the entry has many references that read something like, "The purported benefits are generally anecdotal and medical research often shows no clinical benefit."
So I'll rephrase. If massaging one's eyes improved vision, I think that would've been widely practiced for a long time. Instead, we stick with glasses and contacts and eye surgery, which all have proven and dramatic results.

Now that's a bit more credible, I can accept that prevention is a lot more likely that improving or restoring. Still, these methods probably won't help if you spend the entire day glued to the computer or tv, and never eat vegetables like carrots. A lot of factors are important when it comes to eyesight (well, actually, multiple factors are important in almost any situation), so relying on this method alone is not enough.
I tend to agree with Moongewl that if the method really worked, it would've been used more widely. Then again, you can be pretty sure optometrists and the like probably won't be positive about any 'natural' way of restoring eyesight, since it takes away their business.

I don't know about that. Optometrists make a lot of money off of eye exams, but I don't think they get much money off of glasses or contacts. I think they'd make more money off of some sort of eye massage regime--they could make people come in every few weeks to see how the regime was working.

Re: is it possible to reverse your vision naturally?
Nope, I can't see any possible reversal whatsoever. I can imagine it fixing some things, but for probably caused by the shape of your eye I see no solution besides glasses, contacts, or surgery. If it did, I would've know about it for ages now and never have worn contacts.

Yes, I'm still alive...still alive...
