I Am Legend

I am man enough to admit I cried several times.
Specifically: The evacuation - It scared me on a level words cannot explain. You'll either understand or you won't.
The bit where he's clearing out the apartment and finds the "newly" furnished nursery.
And. Well. I think you know the bit. I cried like a newborn, and I wasn't the only one.
And no, I don't think copying a book word for word is a "faithful adaptation" so I don't care that they differed from the book.
From what I've read, I'm glad they differed from the book.

Went to see I Am Legend today actually. Was pretty good I thought.
Does the ending in the book differ from the film? Cos its a very Hollywood inspired ending, not what you'd expect in a book?
Jumped a fair few times haha.

The book is different, although I've never read it myself (People keep whining at me for liking the film of a book that is 50 years irrelevant to society. Yeah, changing things for change sake, fine, be annoyed, but don't get arsey if they change the book to be more relevant to today - I don't expect ANY War Of The World film to redo the first three chapters of the book, for example (The character goes about his business in annoying detail while the Martians build a tripod down the lane from an IKEA flat pack. I'm not even joking. Except the IKEA bit)

Anyway.

Pans Labyrinth.
Am I just a pessimist or does it seem like she was hallucination (Imagining, if you will) The whole thing?

Juno: I saw this before Christmas. It's funny and quirky, but also dramatic and realistic and not cheesy at all. GO SEE IT.

bwhahah! My most recent movie review!
August Rush
I thought the mix and the different contrasts of the music was wonderful. I really mostly did enjoy the music in this movie, but there were so many things that annoyed me from a musicians point of view, aswell as a movie critic. First of all, if Keri Russel were a really an experienced cellist then she would have had her damn bow tighter! :x
I thought Freddie Highmore was well cast as Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Keri Russels son, but I found his performance disappointing......He could have at least learnt some guitar to make some of the scenes more realisticaswell as not trying to force that damn smile :x.
All in all though I found this movie quite cheesy; an orphan runs away to the city looking for his parents, only to come across child street performers who of course help him out in every way which in turn gives him a one way free ticket to Juilliard where of course. They want to showcase him, which then means OH YES, his parents find him and they all live happily ever after

.....I'd watch it again just to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers sing(I was really impressed with that!), but if you're not the happily ever after type(such as myself!), then just find the soundtrack and bother with the movie only when you want to.

27 Dresses - awesome. Amused me greatly.

I feel like I just found out my favourite love song has been written about a sandwich.

Sweeny Todd

What an amazing movie! THE best I have seen in quite a while. This is the first time I have seen Jonny Depp sing, and he did wonderfully.

Can I just point out how much I hate you Americans for getting movies before us?

That is all. Haven't seen any more movies since last Friday, although I am seeing 27 Dresses again with Rachel tomorrow night.
