Why does it feel so different? Why can't I post like I used to? Why do I no longer feel the same....

Everything doesn't feel right here anymore. It's hard to explain. I just feel as if I no longer know any of you. It feels as if I'm so far away and that I can never go back to this forum with the same excitement I used to have. Why am I fading away?

Sometimes when I enter a board, I want to post, but something holds me back...

I feel reluctant to post...

Have I lost my interest in the forum? I need help...

Back in March of 2003, Hpfan36 entered the PPT Forum... discovered new friends, the fun of roleplaying, the great community, and later on the Beyond Godly insanity.... Hpfan36 enjoyed the forums, came here everyday...

What happened to that same Hpfan36.

When I re-joined the forums, I had the same feeling, along with a bunch of other members. Then more members came and said it's the same people, blah blah blah.

Anyways, maybe you should take a 2-week break or something from it, come back, and see what happens.

Yes,agreed. Take a little break. Sometimes you just need to. I am going to take one soon,I think. I kind of get the feeling of not belonging here,too.

ur not the only ones whos felt that way, I can promise you that. when I left it things were really fun and I was upset I had to leave...but now comming back everything has changed. old members who ive been close to since day one are gone. it doesnt feel like home anymroe because its changing. sure its all the same boards...but the people are different and therefore the forum itself has a different vibe.

different can be good or bad...but you never know until you explore it.

Exactly, when you do the same thing over and over... its inevitable that you'll get tired of it. But yes, its not exactly the same as before, and sure... somethings may feel a bit different...

but give yourself some time... you'll realize its still the same PPT as before, and you'll be back into the addiction you once had before

I've had a lot of breaks from it... those weeks I didn't feel like getting on and the three weeks when I was in Europe. And well, I don't think it did much.

Yep. You know a few of us better now because of the chats.

Three weeks isn't long enough. I find that three MONTHS is acceptable as a break. Then you come back like it's new again.

I actually posted quite a bit when the forums came back, but I also had the hope that the new fprum was coming back, when they said this was the permanent one, I wasn't excactly excited.

Remember: PPT isn't life, there are other things out there if your not feeling attached to the forums don't force yourself to keep coming, I doubt any of us will stay here for the rest of our lives so we all must move on you know.

Hmm...I've always had a slightly reluctant feeling to post. It's probably just from my need to make every post a decent one.

As for taking a break, go ahead and take one of a few months. I did that on the old forums. Who knows, maybe when you leave we'll have Godly/Beyond Godly usergroups back, despite the fact that there are only three members with over 1000 posts. You never know.

I feel like that too. Most rps were my only existance on the net, and when they were gone, I was....lost. Hell, I was absent for 4 months and I still need a break....

Start up some old topics.IM some members. It helps to try and bring it back.
