I bought a rubik's cube a couple of years ago, and I picked it up earlier today and starting working on it. I searched the internet for ages to find a guide, but couldnt find a useful one! So any of you PPTers know how? Or know a good guide? Please post:

Step one -
Peel off stickers

Step 2 -
Put stickers on in correct place.

:D SOLVED!
Narh try this guide -
http://www.rubikssolver.com/

Thats how I learnt how to solve it a few years ago, I also got a pretty nifty .exe program back then (I stilll have somewhere, buried in my F drive somewherE) into which you enter the colors on the rubiks cube you have IRL, and it gives you step by step solutions!

I wait for the day I can have that app on my ipod (along with wikipedia :D)

Many Rubix Cubes actually come with a solution sheet nowadays, and Rubix Cube competitions are really "Read the colors, do the appropriate equation, don't slip." Granted, the people that do it behind their back, one-handed, while upside down are pure win, but the general solving comes down to basic memory recall.

I can get about 1/2 of the way through, then can never be bothered learning the sequences to move things to their correct place.

XD That's what we did, too. After a while, the stickers start losing their stickem, though. :/

I can never get more than one side at once, and even that's an accomplishment for me. I just take them apart and put them back together. I hate peeling off stickers and putting them back on though, so I don't do that.

One of my brother's friends is one of those freaky Rubik's Cube prodigies who can do it in a few seconds or so. I don't get how that's even possible. I guess nobody does. There's those people and the rest of the world, no in-between. You can't learn it...

METHOD ONE.
1. Break the cube into pieces.
2. Superglue it back together, in the right order.

METHOD TWO.
1. Have a high-sugar drink ready to keep you awake.
2. Stay up at night, drinkig said sugary drink, and peel off stickers.
3. Stick stickers back on.
4. Boast to you friends about how you are so cool, you stayed up at night and solved the cube.
