Hello folks! I have lurked a lot for awhile now, but I thought I would mention that I am taking screenshots of each of the messages I figure out. I can upload them to photobucket and give you all the links when I get them all done. I am pretty close, just still working on the 3 modifier messages.

EDIT: Got a second 3-mod. Definitely use that chart...makes a HUGE difference.

Another Military Comms one: Edit: if anyone happens to find a chart of the 3-mod ones WITH the 7th variable, I'd be extremely grateful to know where I can find it!

I honestly don't see how you guys are using that chart. It's got every combination on there, sure, but.. I'm not seeing how you match it up with yer codes. >>;

I use the last symbol.

Match the last symbol from your key with the section on the chart that corresponds to it (leftmost column).

Then, look at your target symbol. Scroll through the chart, looking at the RIGHTMOST column, until you see the symbol you need. See the three symbols in the middle? Those are the ones needed in the modifiers to make that result.

Start pluggin 'em in, and it's trial and error from there.

The chart seems to be missing a symbol...my poor brain is hurting.

There's two different sets of 3-mod codes.
One has 6 symbols (which is what the chart is for), the other has 7 (currently no chart).
The chart will NOT work for the 7 symbols ones (the 7th symbol looks like a bullseye with ears).

Edit: there appear to be 5 of each type of code:
5 - 1 mods - Space Weather Reports
5 - 2 mods - Civilian Traffic
5 - 3 mods (with 6 variables) - Maintenance Reports
5 - 3 mods (with 7 variables) - Military Comms

Hope that clears things up a bit.

I'm going to finish the last of the 6-variable ones, and leave the other 3 7 variable ones I have left until tomorrow. It's getting late.

man i cant seem to get the hang of doing the 3 missing. maybe I should wait till tomorrow...... this is just horrid.

One more 6-variable to go, then on to the 7-variable messages. That's for tomorrow though. I'm going to bed! Thanks for the chart for the 6-variables. It really helped!

Yup, bedtime for me. only 2 1/2 of the 7-variables left (I went ahead and tried the combos that I already had written down from the last two).
I'm hoping by tomorrow some kind person will have come up with a chart for the 7-variable ones! If mine wasn't chicken-scratch on paper, I'd post it - but it's not complete. Ah, well.

Oh really? Lucky! When you aren't going to bed, maybe you could post all the messages you decoded in a spoiler?

I'm kicking myself for starting this one, because I said I'd go to bed after it...figures, it's taking me the longest to solve.
