I went this lovely little local ice cream shop called the daily scoop in the weekends, and they had flavours like Utterly Avocado (which I never had the courage to try), Brandied Figs & Honey and chilli choc. My favourite by far was the lychee martini -(lychee juice + vodka. Churned, not stirred :P).

So, not counting well known favourites like plain chocolate or strawberry, what's the best ice cream flavour you've ever tried?

Choco-fudge-toffee-cara-brownie-cake.
Self explanitory. Chocolate fudge toffee caramel brownie cake flavoured, with brownie chunks. YUMMEH.

Cinnamon Chilichoc
Cinnamon ice cream, with chilli powder, and chocolate chips.

Extra Fizzy Lemonlimepeach Cordial
REALLY REALLY fizzy lemon, lime, and peach sherbert, with peach icecream.

Vanilla and Eucalyptus Honey
Vanilla ice cream, slightly minty, with eucalyptus honey drizzled.

I stayed at this holiday place last summer and there was this amazing shop with about 250 flavours @_@ I tried quite a few, when I remember them I'll edit this post. :D

Mint Choc Chip.

It's exotic in the fact that I cannot find it ANYWHERE.
Seen it once in the last Eight years. :x

ASALOTH. :o You need to come to where I am! Every second ice cream flavour in the shops are mint choc chip. For goodness' sake, the only thing they ever stock half the time is mint choc chip.

That is completely bizarre. And wrong. Mint Chocolate Chip is supposed to be common. Is there any way we can mail you some without it melting along the way? Well, apart from sending you astronaut ice cream.

To be honest, I have never seen any exotic/weird/unusual ice cream flavours here. Everytime I pass by an ice cream shop, they only sell common flavours such as choc mint, mango, vanilla, green tea etc. I thought HK is an international food paradise! :o

Oh well, next time when I pass by Ben & Jerrys or Double Rainbow, I will check and if I see any exotic/weird/unusual flavours, I will post them up.

Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream.
Took us seven months after it's release to get it...but it took absolutely no time at all to get Willie Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler...:\

Red bean ice cream at a nearby sushi bar. It is very expensive, but delicious.

Never tried that flavour before, and it had me go looking at Wiki's Entry on Ben & Jerry's flavours:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_&_Jerry's_flavors

Which led to looking at retired flavours, the flavour graveyard is fun, I liked what they wrote on the tombstones:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retired_Be ... 7s_flavors

http://www.benjerry.com/halloween/flavor_graveyard.cfm

Makes me realise how little Ben & Jerry flavours I've tried. I love some of the names. Blondies are a Swirl's Best Friend? :roflol: I'm glad Chips 'n' Dip [Sour Cream Onion Ice Cream with Potato Chips] was a rejected flavour  ...

I shall now resolve to eat even more ice creams.....I think I'll go to a sushi bar and have that tempura ice cream I've meaning to try!

I love, love, love, love, love Americone Dream <3 <3 <3

Other than that flavor, a strange one I've had is Ben and Jerry's "Kaberry Kaboom" which was strawberry and some kind of blue ice cream (either blueberry or blue raspberry I'm guessing) with pop rocks in it.

Also, at a really nice dinner once, I had vanilla ice cream with strawberries and strawberry sauce and then cracked ground pepper in it...It was interesting, and really, really good :)

I've had vanilla icecream mixed with Tabasco sauce once. The hot/cold taste was really interesting.
