New monitor

okay this is a stupid question but I just got a 20 inch monitor from a friend and am not sure if I need to change some settings to make neopets look right or if this is just how it will be from now on. Right now neopets looks like this to me



Is there a way i can stretch the dang thing to look right?

Congrats on the new monitor!
It looks like your new monitor is set at much higher resolution than your previous monitor. Basically, more fits on the screen than had before. You can make your monitor display in a lower resolution. To do this, right click on a blank spot on your desktop and select properties. Click on the tab that says "settings". You're looking for the section that says "Screen resolution." There should be a little slider that you can move. The further to the left you move it, the lower the resolution gets (shows less on the screen) and the further to the right, the higher.
I'll update in a minute for the resolution that Neo's new site was set to look best at.
Edit: The site was redesigned to work for 1024x768.

okay i changed my screen resolution a bit and it looks better i couldn't handle 1024x768 tho that was just way to huge for everything else... so I think what i changed it to still works for me there is still space on the sides but it isnt beyond huge lol.

In related news this monitor makes me feel like im sitting way to close to a TV screen heh

If you hold down the Ctrl button and scroll up and down with your mouse wheel while you're browsing neopets, it will change the size of your text. This way you can adjust the neopets window to fit properly, but it won't change your resolution for your monitor and change how all your other programs look.
