I read online that he's an eccentric jerk. It's true?

I read his Wikipedia article, and he seems like a relatively reasonable person to me, if you ignore the extramarital affairs. That probably won't add anything to his credibility in your eyes, though XD

Do you not like him just because he's a conservative, or is there more to it than that?

The sad thing was the mayorship race was between him and Ken Livingstone. (Yes there were other choices the voting sheet, but all that we heard on the news was about Boris and Ken.)

1. He's a conservative.
2. He just hasn't got a clue about London!
3. He's an idiot.
4. He supports Section 28.

I'm not a Labour supporter, either, but Ken did a pretty good job as Mayor and he's not exactly New Labour anyway. I don't care about Boris' affairs and what have you, that's his business, but I can't believe Londoners voted in such a clown.

Oh God no.
I've seen him on TV, I thought he was some sort of joke character!
I read in the paper his attitude on gay marriage isn't good... something like "if two men can get married then we might as well allow two men to marry a dog too" (don't quote me on that, but it was something awful and stupid).
I know Ken did that congestion charge that everyone hates, but he was doing well! Boris is going to mess everything up....

Ken did do an ok job, except for the congestion charge, like it has been said, but honestly, for the life of me I cannot think of why he won. And urgh, conservative. There were SO MANY better candidates.

I know, but Ken is hardly new labour anyway! Not perfect, but so much better than Boris. Waaahhhh.

Judging by the rest of the results, we are all sick of New Labour.
And the BNP and Green parties.
We seem to love the Conservatives again though.

I don't currently live in London. But did for 10 years, and when I heard I was like :o He is a joke in my opinion, and shouldn't be mayor.

I'm undecided on Boris, he's either the most intelligent person in the world pretending to be an idiot, or an outright idiot. I don't know which it is.

Regardless, the mayoral election result with the Local election result is probably to do with people being sick with New Labour, as Twinkle suggested.

I... still don't see what the problem is, except that you guys don't agree with him politically. Is this how people in Britain always react when they lose an election?

TOSO, I'm looking over his Wikipedia article and getting a definite "WEIRD" vibe from this guy.
Wikipedia wrote:He also admitted he had forgotten the title of his own book as he was writing it.

Johnson(regarding the London bombings) wrote:It is time to reassert British values…That means disposing of the first taboo, and accepting that the problem is Islam. Islam is the problem...When is someone going to get 18th century on Islam’s mediaeval [expletive deleted]?

Johnson on political ambition wrote:My ambition silicon chip has been programmed to try to scramble up this ladder, so I do feel a kind of sense that I have got to.

While the first quote is merely weird, and the third is oddball, that middle one is scary.
