Ah, looks like we are going to have the Altador Cup this year. Huzzah! Hope I can decide between Mystery Island and Krawk Island by the 12th, even if nothing actually starts then.
For those of you wanting to cheer on your team in Latin, which they probably understand in Altador since it's somewhat based on Roman civilization, here's some phrases taken from the book Latin For All Occasions by Henry Beard.
"First and ten, do it again!"
Primum et decem! Iterum agendum!
"DEEEE-fense!"
DeFENNNN-sio!
"Pursue them, pursue them, make them relinquish the ball!"
Sequimini, sequimini, facite ut pilam relinquant!
"Repel them, expel them, compel them to retreat!"
Illos repellite, expillite, compillite ad fugiendum!
"Oh, would that we would score!"
Utinam vincamus!
"We have been wanting and shall continue to want a touchdown!" (or goal, I guess)
Volebamus atque volemus pilam trans metas deponi!
"All right, all right! Way to go, way to go!"
Bene, bene! Eugepae, eugepae!
"The ball is in your court!"
Pila in area tua est!
"We had a wardrobe malfunction!"
Lapsum vestius passi sumus!
And in case your team doesn't make it:
"Well, you win some, you lose some."
Modo vincimus, modo vincimur.
ZOMG latin student here.... Latinus pwnagum est.
