Thanks for the tips!I actually think I stress too much about getting them the right kind of slushie.

My goal is so pathetic compared to most of yours! I only am trying for at least 10 points a day, while some of you are doing like 60!

We had a big power and telephone outage; lasted more than 12 hours (everyone is ok). I was fretting and fidgeting about getting more wins in for Shenkuu then I realized how silly that was, in the middle of a typhoon. Now I'm only playing for as long as it is still fun (probably varies), because that's the point of it after all and besides I'm supposed to be studying for my board exams

So I'm cutting down from 20 YYB to 10, 5 SS to 1 (I hate that game) and 10 MSN to 5, more or less, because it's starting to feel like a bad addiction. Maybe more on some days when it feels fun, less on days it feels like a chore. Just trying to keep things in perspective.

---

About the new finals system- I'm thinking it's like top 4 is 'division A' and the next are division B and C, respectively, and you can play for "division championships." Frankly, the way Shenkuu is going at the moment I'll be happy with a not-last place :P
Although I would like the option to jump ship, maybe support MI (or DC) if they make it to the finals...

Is anyone else having YYB scores not counting? I submitted a tie score about 15 minutes ago and it's not showing up. At least it's only one score.

And here's a tip I found really useful for MSN:

Don't use all your time. If you keep pressing the keys until you're in the 4000 range, and then press the space-bar, it can save you a lot of time.

My strategy for when to play what game is that I play 2-4 YYB games, then 1-3 SSs, and then either back to YYB or few games of MSN.

I just got my first double-digit score in Yooyuball! 11-0 against Kreludor! I'm halfway to the avatar at this point!

HOW DO YOU PEOPLE DO THAT!(I mean the big scores, BTW). I can only get 3!

I'm having a lot of trouble with the Darigan ball though. I'll have to keep at it I guess!

Hasn't happened to me personally, but "moonwalking players" is a common easter egg/glitch in the game right now. Nothing to worry about.

In previous years, has average goals per match affected prize points? Like if two players both win 200 games, but one totals 200 goals and the other 2000 goals, will they both get the same points?

I think they get the same points, but the more goals helps one team win!

In other news, I just got 7 goals! I'm so happy! SEVEN! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!( the other team got 2 though)

And I decked out my main pet for the cup-she has a medel on and a crown and the suport bg.

Doing well for my team isn't motivating me so much any more, since we have yet to win a single round in spite of my best efforts!

I suppose the advantage to the individual of scoring well is that the game is then shorter, so you can play more.

Frezzed? You mean frozen? I seriously doubt it, but it's not good for your team.

It helps your team as well. But it's nice that it shortens the game the better you score on YYB. Too bad SS isn't like that...lol

Lots and lots of practice...lol Once you learn a good position and angle to shoot from for each ball, the rest is just getting consistent at it.

Hey, can someone explain the levels to me? I know how to gain levels (I'm on lvl. 5), but what will they affect? Do they affect the prize we get for the Altador Cup? How did it work in previous years?

Oh, PS: What would you guys consider a "good level" by the end of the tourney?

Levels/Shields, etc
The points per game are wrong in the post for SS and MSN. It's now 2 games of SS = 1 point, and 12 games of MSN = 1 point, but everything else is accurate. (though I think May's going to fix that for me :) )

The levels/points are directly related to your prize points. There's some ratio included, but Not sure what it is. :)

And woo! My first 15-0!!! :D

Edit: May fixed the post I linked to so that the scorings are correct for this year. Thanks May!

I've been getting several other odd glitches as well. I had a game in which the ball was slowed tremendously--much slower than the snow ball's normal speed. I had to actually stop to take a shot, or the player would immediately run over the ball and catch it again. I only scored one goal that game.

Then there was a game where the ball moved much faster than the fire ball normally does, regardless of which ball it was.

Then my players moved at superspeed in one game, as fast as the fire ball moves. (You'd think that would make the game easy, but it was a real bear to control.)
