Things lacking in this year's prizes:
The token 5 point prize
The token stamp
The token bobble head
The token play set
The token action figure
The token paint brush
The token neohome item
The winning team exclusives
The battledome weapon
The TOP prize

The Chairman looks up your name in a records book. "According to this, you have 1,817 points available to spend.

Not even enough for one of the books. :( Like most of the rest of you, I'm disappointed in the prizes this year, and a little upset that the Shenkuu players only got runner-up medals.

Congrats to all the RI players, it's about time you guys won!

Congrats Roo Island! :D You deserved the first place ^_^

I was a bit suprised there was no announcement about this years winner in the news or the front page. The prizes aren't really super either (I'm missing something related to this years cup, a special prize for the top 3/4 teams and a top prize for the all-stars). It's amost as if tnt just wanted to skip over it and move on to something else. Bit anticlimactic...

These prizes suck...I don't want any of them....I wouldn't even want one if I could afford the bigger prizes. I have something like 612 points...

Aw, I was sure Kreludor would finish 5th... ...:P Well not really. ^^;; An improvement compared to the first Altador Cup is all I can ask for so yay. <3 Congratulations Roo Island for winning. ^^ I have to agree with the general anti-climactic feel to the end of this year's Altador Cup - I completely missed the end of last year's competition (for various reasons) so I don't know what happened then but I would have thought that some fuss would have been made over Roo Island (or any of the top four teams) for winning. Meh. -shrugs- I guess they're trying not to alienate people who didn't compete/didn't win... but still. A bit bland, same can be said for some of the Prizes...

Yooyuball
Goals Scored 3,798
Goals by Derlyn Fonnet 581
Goals by Coco Metrone 114
Goals by Qlydae Wegg 2,875
Goals by Zenor Kevix 228
Saves by Jurin T. 176
Number of Wins 507
Number of Draws 0
Number of Losses 0

Slushie Slinger
Games Played 26
Top Score 596

Make Some Noise
Games Played 408
Top Score 7,544

Rank
Level 8

I'm very happy that I managed to get to 500 games (only 17 last year...) but with 6648 points to spend... yeah. Nothing interested me so I just went for my usual Plot-collection of Trinkets and Toys, just a bit bland really. I dislike Yooyuball with avengance now... I'm glad that I chose not to play anymore games as I would have had even more unspent points. Meh. I'm not interested in the Altador Cup enough to hold onto my points and wait to see if they release anymore prizes... or to attempt to hoard some Books. Heh. ^^;; I guess I shouldn't have thought that they'd personalise the Medals... at least it looks better than last year's. -prods- I just find it a bit odd that when you've got a Medal, it doesn't mention anywhere where your Team finished... last year I played for Meridell and (because I missed the end) have no idea what happened to them. If I look back on this Tournament next year... I'll probably have forgotten what happened to Kreludor. Oh well.

I managed to reach my final 'final' goal (madness). This is where I end
Yooyuball
Goals Scored 38,494
Goals by "Dasher" Soley 27,032
Goals by Ealyn Hawkshanks 7,050
Goals by Nitri Cassale 2,792
Goals by Zayle Sufhaux 1,620
Saves by Garven Hale 415
Number of Wins 3,000
Number of Draws 0
Number of Losses 0
Slushie Slinger
Games Played 0
Top Score 0
Make Some Noise
Games Played 3,107
Top Score 8,072

And from the prize shop, I see :) :
The Chairman looks up your name in a records book. "According to this, you have 39,064 points available to spend."

Sad to see Krawk Island lose. But congrats to Rooligans - you guys deserved it! Sweeping KI on three YYB games - let no one (read neoboards) doubt you! Though my brother will be unbearable for another year or so!
Looking at the prizes, I am not overly disappointed. We knew that there would be no stamps, and I sort of guessed they would not give decent weapons either with battledome boards cribbing everytime a plot prize deflates their set-value. Also, with Roo Island winning there was no immediate candidate for a paintbrush (though I am not so sure if they would have given pirate PB if KI won).
They gave us two books and consumable slushies, good for hoarders like us, though slushies will not rise much as demand is much lower than books. Also they gave us a couple of wearables and a new petpet. Lastly they did not repeat last year's prizes, so the keyrings which you wanted will not hopefully deflate any more.
Lastly thanks to everyone here in the forum - you inspired me and helped very much during the stretch where I was thinking how Dasher can score with a mutant ball in my sleep! Ouch!
And looking forward to next year's AC already. Just joking!

Hey, Pickles can see the future:

Hehe, and next year, the Rooligans will win! {shameless team spirit}

That's from last years threads.

:roflol: I'd forgotten I'd said that. Good thing I joined Roo again, huh? Otherwise, that would've been rather embarrassing.

I'm still not sure how I'm going to use my points. At least I got a nice round pretty number... {shrugs}

Some more calculations mambo-jambo:

Among the ACIII prizes, currently the highest NP per point ratio is in the Fire Yooyu, which is about 70 NP/point.
Now 1 rank point is 12 plot points, and the fastest game to get a rank point is YYB, which takes about 2 minutes/game.
So, in 2 minutes, you get, 12 plot points, or at most, 840 NP.

I really like the HW jersey (probably obvious as I am on HW :P), and definately plan to get one. I'd also been wanting the yooyu since it was found as a possible prize, so that's one I'm seriously thinking about too. I agree, though, that there ought to have been a winner specific prize. And I don't think we need a frisbee for every team AND a slushie for every team. Seems a bit of overkill in my opinion.

By my calculations, I can get one of each prize, plus a spare of each book and an extra plushie...and I can't say I'm enthralled by any of them. The prizes are a pretty lackluster offering.

I wish they'd add Shenkuu to the site theme. It's been two years.

Well, we've used the same site theme for 3 years now, I don't think that they'd be able to change it without having to give everyone a new one.
