Anxious, and a little stressed. My husband is taking his major exams today, tomorrow, and Friday. I cannot wait for this week to be over, and to find out the results. He's stressed, and I'm stressed because of the implications of the exam: you don't pass, you're out of school. He's a smart cookie, so I'm sure he'll pass, it'll just be nice one it's over and done with.

I'm also a bit stressed because I have to fill out this horrible long form which involves having a contact person for every address I've lived at for the last 5 years. It's a mess....and I have a grand total of 3 1/2 days to finish it in...starting last Friday around lunch time. Yeah, forgot to print it off and bring it home to do over the weekend, so I'm definitely scrambling to get it done by tomorrow AM.

But! The only thing I *have* to do this week (past that form) is keep my husband sane and well fed. :)

I miss running along Lake Michigan on a cool Chicago day as the winds gently blow ashore. =/

I am annoyed ay myself for missing the first round of trivial pursuit and some rounds of minority rules.

Well, my stomach is kinda twisted in knots right now. My husband is out of his second day of 6-hour written exams. He now has two days to study up for his oral exam. He said that from conferring with others students, he's on par, but then he launched into the description of how the orals work:
They bring you into a room one at a time, with half hour breaks, and basically grill you on everything you did poorly on during the writtens. Then, after everyone's done, they meet in a conference to decide the fates, and then take each student in again one at a time to basically tell them "pass" or "byebye." My stomach just knots up just thinking about the anticipation of that bit about walking in to a room to be grilled...but then to later walk back in again knowing your fate is about to be told to you. <shudders>

..other than that, I'm peachy. :)

On a related note, running five miles along a partially-frozen Lake Michigan as the snow blows into your face with temperatures around 25° is REALLY SUPER FUN! I felt great after that and some good workouts afterward.

Woo! Which part of South America will you be in? I'm going to Perú for a week at the beginning of April.

I'm really not feeling well :( My ears hurt, my whole body generally aches. And on top of that, my patience is running thin.

I feel like a large part of my world is crumbling. *sighs* There's so much more I want to say...but there are other places to say it.

Sigh. "Conditional pass" was not what was expected - though it's still better than a fail. But retaking one of the 6-hour written exams and retaking the oral exam in May? Bleh. Wish they'd bothered to tell him the *correct* required classes were. Le sigh. <toddles of to soak in the goodness of a hot cup of tea>

Sorry for myself- I have a dreadful cold and am all bunged up and feverish and blah blah blah.

Fortunately I have a very kind friend who is bringing me some medicine and soup soon. Yay! Before that implies my flatmate is callous and awful, she was at her boyfriend's last night and is today. Otherwise I expect she would go for me.

Working on his Ph.D. Between transferring schools and having a 6 month gap in studies, he has taken classes in both the "old" set of requirements and the "new" set of requirements. This means he was tested on the "new" set of requirements...which he didn't know about at the time and thus didn't have all of. It's a huge mess, but I think it might be straightened out now.

I am currently feeling pulled in multiple directions and stressed. Most of Friday and Saturday were lost to dealing with the aftermath of my husband's exam results, and now everything that was supposed to be done yesterday has to be done today. Plus, there's a million other things going on that I'm getting behind on. Hopefully things will settle back down in the next day or two.
