This happens more than I'd like to admit, is there some sort of setting somewhere that I could disable sound from Flash things only? No offense neopets, but I hate all of your games' music too.

Disabling sound that comes from Flash?
I'm sitting here jamming to iTunes and click "start video" on my AdverVideo window without thinking and suddenly my computer starts yelling at me to buy this cool new candy or something (with Metallica wailing in the background, lol) promptly scaring the bejeezus out of me.
This happens more than I'd like to admit, is there some sort of setting somewhere that I could disable sound from Flash things only? No offense neopets, but I hate all of your games' music too.

Re: Disabling sound that comes from Flash?
That sounds quite...interesting. XD
Windows: Flashmute
Mac: ...I don't know. XD
Perhaps try FlashBlock or AdBlock in Firefox?
As for Safari, you're on your own. x)
Linux:
1. Shut down mozilla/firefox
2. Find “libflashplayer.so” in your plugins directory.*
3. Edit this with a HEX editor**
4. Look for the string “/dev/dsp” and change it to “/xxx/xxx” - now it can’t open the sound device.
5. Save
6. Restart Browser
(I may even do this later...)
* - This'll depend on where your Mozilla is installed to. I'm unsure where mine is however. o.o
** - I think you'd probably be able to use gedit or kate to edit the file...emphasis on think. I've never edited a .so, so I don't know.
Hope that helps!

My antivirus said that the program has adware on it
EDIT: Ok maybe just the site. I got it off download.com with no problems.

I'm sorry, I didn't know that. o.o
Sometimes, it doesn't pay to run Linux.
