Ghosts

i believe that the universe was created after the last one was crushed to an infinetly small particle (or several of them anyway) and then exploded with such a force that it accelearted way beyond SOL.
i believe (and hope) that there is no reincarnation, (im not going through life again) and that heaven/valhalla/whathaveyou and hell/tuat/whatever are states of mind, gods live and die at our whim, angels and daemons are the physical manifestations of thoughts, emotions and actions and that animals stare at me on purpose.
as for religion, your god created me as an atheist, who are you to argue with his/her/their divine plan?

Everytime I'm alone I feel scared as if I'm be watched, stalked....so I try to make a sound or sing or turn on some music at full blast *parties* When I'm with somebody else (prefer elder) I'm fine.

Kitten Medli, you and I believe (mostly) the same things. I believe that there is one God, and he created everything. But I don't really think that animals have souls. I guess I'm kinda mixed on that subject.

Erm... Has anyone else noticed that the people that haven't *seen* ghosts and the like have also professed believing in a greater power?

yeah, that is kinda odd. I feel kinda the same way about the animal soul thing. I just DON'T KNOW!

On the subject of animals and souls,I think of it this way - why would God create something just to have it die and never go to his kingdom? I figure he wouldnt do that,so thats part of the reason I believe they do. The other because I just love 'em so darn much.

Belief in ghosts... nothing more than a desperate clinging to the fantasy of remaining with someone you love, or that you'll never die.

But so much evidence will appear to someone who wants to believe it.

Obviously, you haven't experienced anything like it--so you really don't know whether it is a fantasy or not. There was nothing desperate, clinging or fearful in either of the cases I experienced. I have had more deaths of loved ones in my lifetime that most people will ever experience--so I know that I won't live forever and am pretty sure that I, too, will die one day.

I have also gotten feelings--twice--at the exact moment when a loved one was in great danger. Feelings from out of the blue while I was doing something that had nothing to do with that person. Once, while I was sleeping. Please explain that one away.

Perhaps, some of us are more connected than others to the "spirit world" or afterlife or whatever anyone wants to call it. And, as such, we experience things that others who aren't so connected mock and deny--simply because they have never had it happen to them.
