Same here, gr321. I come back because I want to see what's going on, but there's no exciting threads to post in... hmmm...
I do blame Neopet's sucktastic nature, though. When they revamped their site, I quit, and consequentially quit PPT too (well, mostly). I'd say for PPT to broaden their horizons past Neopets, but can a site named after an item of theirs really do that? Probably not. :p

Lemonade - just don't advertise on the neoboards!

(you might also consider PMing Kym to make sure he a) knows and b) approves)

@Zero! We may be named after an item from Neopets, but it doesn't say so in our URL, theoretically we could branch out to...banana sales and just go by PinkPT from then on.

Pink poodle trainers
Personal Identification Number enKryPTors
pi n k rho tau (i.e., a forum for math/physics geeks)

Haha very funny =D

I don't mean hide our affiliation with Neopets, but just build on it.

I would never advertise on the neoboards, that would end up in something bad happenning to my account. I would just advertise the site on a few forums I go on, maybe put a link on my site. I'll PM kym now.

ah, that's sad. I think PPT's traffic has been pretty constant compared to Neo, as shown above. Still, many people know already left Neo and I'm only in touch with them on facebook from time to time, and school and work and life in general has caught up o_0 I know that my own inactivity can be attributed to these factors...

Yeah it's a shame. The risk with running a fan site for any particular topic is that if the topic wanes, so does the fan site unfortunatly.

We're currently exploring expansion options to broading potential visitors such as expanding to virtual pet sites or online games in general. Hopefully that will drive more traffic to the website.

If anyone has any suggestions, by all means.

What ever happened to our old Subeta branch? It just kinda, well, died. Granted, Subeta already has a very very good main fansite of it's own, but it's not like we couldn't do something else with it. As far as I know, it's one of the other more popular petsites out there, and isn't run by kid-friendly-nazis who ban you from saying anything (you can actually say whatever you want on Subeta, it's great) P:

It's my turn to post a pretty graph:

Does anyone know what specifically happened to cause such a rapid downturn in activity? I just logged in for the first time in about a year and was rather shocked to see what's happening...

Well, we haven't had any major site events in quite a while (games, Christmas in July, etc.)... and even the mods and admins aren't all that active. But when there aren't a lot of new posts, it's hard to come up with a new post yourself, so it kind of creates a vicious cycle.

personally i was traveling a lot and did have a lot of time to be on neopets. (sadly it's gonna happen again soon too) but also with no lengthy or in depth plots i've had no real need to actually interact with other neopets users. sad, because i fondly remember waiting around to dig graves or figure out the next step in plots. ldp i spent a ton of time on the neoboards (go fer!). but all the plots now are so short and relatively individual which is nice because i don't have a lot of time necessarily, but i still miss all the people. avatars too. nothing new really. finally bonju though.

I doubt any of you remember me, but I was quite active back in the day. Buut... something happened (which I don't think I'd like to talk about here), a bunch of us quit, and combined with the downturn of Neo, the site sorta died.
