It's going to take me a while to dump a million NP into the stock market... about 67 days or so.

It's gonna take me a little over 2 weeks to buy enough stocks so I'll have a million invested. Not too bad.

It's been a while since I've done anything on Neopets, so I don't know if my idea would work or not, but I think maybe you should buy shares in more expensive companies if you don't mind a little extra risk to speed up the time to get the avatar.

It would work, and buying at 20 NP/share would not expose you to too much risk but it would cut your time by 33%. (Buying at 30 NP/share cuts it in half, but is more risky, etc.) If you look at the Neodaq, you can see what many different stocks tend to peak at and buy accordingly -- but there is no guarantee they'll have the same peak in the future; just look at POWR.
