Shiny Obsidian is found by clicking the rock formation on the left/bottom of Moltara City.
Miscellaneous Gears is found by refreshing Moltara City page until it appears in 1 of 8 locations.
Scrap Metal and Stone appears as a Random Event while refreshing the Moltara City page.

This is like a daily and you will be able to try for each piece every day.

In the meantime, I've been able to sell my 3 scrap metal and stone for ~40k each -- I know I can always get more tomorrow. I have yet to find any gears; apparently the event is quite rare (or I'm exceedingly unlucky).

It seems we are getting a Plot KQ Token for a prize:

If nothing else, I appreciate the Ice background from this plot, since it goes well with my Ice Hissi.

It is not clear to me. So does a gear actually show up on the main map or do you have to click around to find it?

Supposedly they appear in a different random location for each person, right on the main map. Of course, I myself have yet to see them.

When the gears show up, they will be "plainly" visible (well, unless they're on the dimly lit roof). They will show up on a random refresh. Here is a map:

You know what I think? I think TNT is making this plot super duper easy for the little five-year-olds that play Neopets because of what happened when they released the 2nd step of the Return of Dr. Sloth plot... and they aren't very original either. It's a really bad mix of Indiana Jones and Journey to the Center of the Earth. -_-

Chapter 10 is out.

Read Chapter 10.

Great, more lame reskinned games. Volcano Run was terrible when it was new--why even bother redoing it? It actually makes the codebreaker one look good by comparison. I've stopped expecting much from Neo, but this is just sad.

That's not even the worst part.

The Roxton sprite is larger than the original sprite from the game - that means that this game, designed for the other (smaller) sprite, was difficult - but this game is much harder, because you're trying to squeeze a bigger character through those tight spots.

Come on, TNT - at least test this stuff out first.

I'm not sure the hit box is any bigger, it's just harder to tell where it is with the new sprite. I got the impression that I had more margin for error above the sprite, like the wings weren't part of the hit box. (Not that that's any better, of course--having mismatched graphics and hit boxes is just plain sloppy.)

Well we wanted more challenge in this plot... didn't expect to get it from reskinned old game which is heavily luck dependant. Took me a dozen games to get lucky cave generation which took me to over 600 points after piles of ~200 pointers.

I'm pretty sure that the hit box is the same; you don't loose your life if the top part of your wings touch an obstacle.

Has anyone else got the shield? The shielded spirit is hilarious - the shield covers the air below the sprite but not the wings :P ...

The lag is so bad that it took me ~20 mins to get the required score though....and I HAVE the Volcano Run avatar =.=

Test stuff? I'm still smarting over that 'Dungeon Dash' memory leak in any browser other than Internet Explorer. And the 'Dungeon Dash' fatal bug in any browser other than Internet Explorer where the game froze up midway through the last level.

If they can't even bother to check their games on other, commonly used browsers like Firefox, why should we expect them to test hitbox detection?

Eesh. I'm pining for the original Lost Island plot at this point; it wasn't that exciting, but at least all of the steps were original.

I'm terrible with that code game. Does the left most light represent the top piece of the code, or the bottom?
