The future of PPT

It's nice to see that there are still people here who care. For those of you wondering why this place is so dead, I urge you to take a few minutes to look through the forum staff listing and see when the last post is from staff, especially administrators. There are a few staff members who are doing a great job trying to keep this place alive, and I tip my hat to you. The higher management needs to show some spirit and that they still care about this place, which is the reason a lot of us left over a year ago. Some people have apparently still not gotten the message that you need people at the top who give a darn.

I stand by my original post in this thread. (I should quote it, but i'm sure those 5 members still left who will read it have already done so).

Bob if you want to revive PPT, don't. Start a different forum, with awesome people, and let this place go where it needs to.

...along with the few members who, every so often, remember joining here 7 years ago, and thus come back to check up on the place out of pure nostalgia.

Seriously, 7 years. I was in 5th grade. This fall I'm going to college. Crazy.

I'm all up for joining any new neopets forum that has potential

We either need to get in touch with everyone who used to come to PPT, whether they were on the one side or the other. We either need to have a revival, or we need to let the site go out with a bang.
And if we go with the latter; just so we're clear, this isn't a bang. This is more like that little fizzling sound fireworks make after the bang.

I seriously agree with you here DM but I'm hoping we would be able to revive this place..... it used to be so much fun when there was at least 10 new posts per minute. *sighs*

Actually, uh. A friend and I have been talking about making a new forum, and we think that we could give it a go. As soon as I sort out my computer a little and I can download phpBB/SMF (unless someone else knows a good, non-download platform?)

So it doesn't die too, we'll be recruiting people from all over the tubes, so hopefully there'll be lots of new people to meet. ^^

...Good question. We were thinking of just having a general forum for any topic anyone wants to talk about, but I've been told that forums don't tend to be active unless they have a really good main site. I'm probably still gonna give it a go. When the forum's open, I'll be open to suggestions about a possible main site, though. You guys at PPT will be the first to know

I guess the only way PPT would be alive again would be for the main site to increase in quality, and for Neopets to become more active...

Can I just point out that we always seem to have about 10 guests lingering.....I wish they would do more than that....

In total there are 11 users online :: 1 registered, 0 hidden and 10 guests (based on users active over the past 15 minutes)
Most users ever online was 378 on Sat 22 Mar , 2008 4:56 am

I feel really bad now. I'll be honest, I stopped posting as much in here as it has become a lot less active. Whenever I go to the general neopets board there is virtually nothing there. =x
