To me that is very strange. I know getting on the bandwagon doesn't mean a win, but that is very, very disturbing all the same.

Yeah, very weird. Kinda bummed, but then, I didn't do a whole lot this time, either, Too much else going on. Guess we'll hafta see what happens next round.

Bah. Sorry the bandwagon didn't win, which is indeed odd. However, I would expect that a lot of people have a lot going on elsewhere, too. While the boons are great, I'm now in it for the avatars/site themes. Not that I plan to use either one, but it's the quest to have as many as possible...

I knew the bandwagon would eventually fail as more people became freeloaders and just expected to win by sheer numbers. I just didn't expect it to fail this time! Obviously a group of hard workers joined together to help the Brutes. I want in on their group next time! I can throw down a lot of points fairly quickly. Anyone know how to join?

Yep, Siniri, you called that one. I would have thought it would have taken much longer.

Apparently the Thieves were ASGed (I use this now as a verb, and not a very nice one!) A group of users indeed banded together to bring the bandwagon down. It was done purely out of spite. I had one of them post on my thread saying he had over 3500 wins against Kanrik. (I did check, and indeed it seemed that way). This group went solely for the Thieves to ensure they didn't win.

I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised at this type of action, look at what happened to the AC.

Hmph. You, Pickles, and I can all rack up boss wins on mighty pretty fast, too, but we're too small to create our own "ASG." I just mostly want the last twothree avatars (Thieves, Sway, Seekers), though of course the boons are nice, too. I like that it's not quite so predictable anymore, but I also want to pick the right team!

Let us know if you catch a whiff of anything funny going on during the next sign-ups; I'll try to keep an ear out too. I predict more ASGs forming, making it even more unpredictable, unless we can get a large, nice ASG that will try to help the majority win for people to get the last few avvies they need.

Sounds like a great idea. I need the same 3 avis as well. This ASG come out of nowhere, I didn't see any hint on BDC or Virtupets (where most of the skirmish groups went). Now it means scanning Google and seeing if anything pops up.

*sigh* Things are never simple and straightforward anymore.

That is so very true. Not just in Neopia. Work has been really... interesting lately. And downright ugly.

Skirmish 6: Awakened, The Sway, Thieves Guild.

I need the Sway, so that is who I am going with.

I'm also going with the Sway, though I hope the "freeloaders" from last time put more work in this time. I hope to do 400 battles against each boss, though I'm leaving for vacation that weekend, so I may not be able to.

I signed up for the Sway, but I have no idea how much time I'll have to fight. Hopefully enough to help out...but we'll see. RL has been pretty rough the last couple of weeks.

Thieves Guild, if only because it's the lesser of three evils. Yes, I'm still playing this as a story, and seek a proper outcome. I believe there is a game called Legend of the Five Rings which has something like this, wherein which players win and how they win decides what happens in the story. Would it be giving TNT a little too much credit to think this is what's going on?

Well, I got more than the minimum in (though not by a whole lot). Not likely to have any more time to fight though this weekend. "Vacationing" + Battleground just doesn't work.
