Forum Prettification Proposal

I suggest that anyone who has been active at least 3 times in the past six months should get a pretty color for their name. When I'm looking at who made the most recent post, it's obvious at a glance when it's Blue or Busky, but the rest of us all blend together. There are so few of us active, it's not like we'd run out of colors (and we can avoid the "official" forum colors), and if this place becomes hopping again, we can always revert to the drab current state of affairs.

P.S. I wouldn't mind a color in the teal range.

Update: I haven't (yet) found an automated way to do this, but there are a few manual ways I can do it.

Blue, the point is for us each to have our own color so we can tell at a glance who's posted. Right now, I see red and know you posted, or blue for Busky, but I have to scan the other names to see if it's Pickles or Daze or me (and Pickles's and my name are similar length, so it takes longer to figure out). I don't know if that's possible. And if it's too much work, then it's fine if we don't.

I'd like any of the shades I listed above; whichever is farthest from the others' so there's no confusion.

This was a great idea, Siniri. I'm glad it is working.

Ground rules for a custom user color:

1. User must be consistently active (i.e. posting) on the boards for multiple months
2. Custom color may be revoked if user becomes inactive for a period of time
3. Custom color cannot be the same as, or close to an established group (e.g. administrator, moderator)
4. Reserved

Note: Above rules and exact time to be considered active/inactive are subject administrator discretion.

P.S. The "Active Topics" page is very colorful
