I have been to Arcadia (National Forest) once. I "swam" at Sand Beach there; it was the summer of some huge volcanic eruption that made it unusually cool, so air temps were in the 50's and the water was 49. I dove under once just because I knew my dad would feel obligated to (especially after my little brother was knocked over by a wave - he cried). Did I mention my family is competitive? Yes, these are the same Tetris-fixing dad and glasses-sliding brother. My mom refused to bring the car closer to pick us up, so it was a very cold walk back. According to Scrabble Word Finder, Arcadia is a legal Scrabble word!
