Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
Hurray for TNT!!!
A lot of people have been so negative towards Neo lately especially about the pound. Many on the boards even suggesting that it would never come back!
I am really looking forward to the Transfer option - I really want to concentrate on 1 battle pet, so I can now safely transfer my other pet onto my side.
I really hope that the site will be able to handle the rush of users wanting to be the 'first' to use the pound (maybe that is why TNT waited until the servers were moved).
Whatever happens Monday, nothing will take away from the excitement of the day.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I am excited about the Pound coming back up. I'm also glad about the transfer option since I'd heard some sad stories about people trying to transfer and losing their pets.
Speaking of having side accounts, I don't have one, since I've heard so much about getting frozen and I don't want to take a chance. I figure that if I only have the one account that it makes me less of a target for suspicion.
I haven't used my lab ray since the pound went down. I hope it still works.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I'm optimistic.
If the pound functions as it's supposed to come Monday, then I'll forgive and forget all the Daily Dare troubles!
Not only can I shuffle around pets in order to create that Robot Pteri I always wanted, but I can zap and give away pets again. I don't mind about the time limits on transfers or the once a month acceptance thing - as someone who's lost a pet in a transfer, I understand why those safeguards are in place. I'm glad they're there. And I don't mind waiting a month between transfers.
Here's hoping.

As mean as it sounds, I was actually hoping the Pound will never open
The mass chaos over strong pets, Pea Chias, etc. will be awful; and I think, if I am not online to adopt my pet, no one should be.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
Well, I must say, I'm happy this is finally happening, even if I personally don't use the pound. I hope that everyone who was in the process of transferring when it went down is able to get their pets back on Monday.
I've probably said this before, but I can't remember if I have: it seems to me that TNT is making a serious effort lately to please us users and fix things ASAP - as well as communicate about it. I am VERY pleased that they are giving us an entire weekend of "heads up time" before the go-live on the pound reopening. While this will likely cause a mad rush...at the same time, at least people who *were* trying to transfer a pet will be somewhat prepared.
Kudos to TNT!

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I was having such a horrible day and this made it 1000x better. I cannot wait to transfer my pets. Of course I will be waiting at least a week or so before transferring because lord knows it will be bug-tastic..but still.
This may have been mentioned already, but I think it is hilarious (not necessarily in a good way) that it is opening almost exactly a year after it closed.

This is the best news in a very long time
I can finally get SuAP, and I love the new transfer feature. It's much fairer. The only downside is that I think the AC will go absolutely crazy with lending boards, and there will be a lot of lag when it finally opens. I don't see how it took a year though
I don't have to zap my cute thornberry chia which is a relief.

If you use the transfer feature, which is limited to once a month, all items except NC Mall items () and BD items go with the pet
Ah, okay... Missed that somehow.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I enjoy the idea of transferring pets safely now.
HOWEVER I am sad that now pets can not be abandoned with there paintbrush cloths!
Why? Because i have the lab ray on a side and that's what i liked to Do is zap pets and randomly set them free to be adopted by people who can't affoird the paintbrushes or just a lucky adopter. Now they can be painted a color but no cloths that makes me sad. I'd rather have the ability to still abandon them WITH cloths if i so chose.
But it is nice to see the pound back up.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I really believe TNT have listened to (read) all the boards concerning pounded painted pets - 2 of the biggest concerns were:
- sniping of transfer pets
- anyone able to have a painted pet without any effort
TNT may have dropped the ball on a few things, but they have gone all out to make as many users as happy as possible with the pound. Without making the pound redundant, they have managed to do a very smart thing.
You can have a 'painted' pet if you pound surf, but you must 'dress' it yourself.
BRILLIANT!! (I mean, really brilliant). It manages to keep both sides happy.
You can transfer your pets, but it is limited to one a month.
Some on the boards are whinging about the one-a-month limit, but I think it is a good thing. Good things come to those that wait. If you are given everything at once, where is the fun in that? TNT are basically saying - We will meet you 1/2 way. We will give you the means to get what you want, but you have to work for it.
To me it seems fair.
With all that seems possible now with the pound, I can see why it took so long to reprogram.

You DO have that option. Painted pets keep their paintbrush-related clothes and accessories.
From the Neo Pound FAQ
EDIT: Wait, sorry, that's only if you transfer pets. If you abandon them, their clothes stay with you. Also from the FAQ If I understand the FAQ correctly, with the transfer option, the pet keeps its clothing, regardless of whether you transfer it to one of YOUR side accounts, or to another user entirely. With the abandon option, you have no specific user in mind for the pet to go to, and the pet loses all its clothing, painted and otherwise.
Oh...oh, wait, I see what you mean now. Serves me right for skimming instead of reading.

On the bright side, if you are a frequent zapper and happen to get the same species again, you will have some paintbrush clothes to dress them in

Bright side? Oh, I wasn't complaining, just trying to show the difference between the two options. I edited my post to make it a little clearer.
Quite frankly, I think it's a great compromise.

Re: Pound will be up on Monday!
I guess I just don't like/understand the idea of stripping a pet. Say I have a royal whatever pet who's 'base color' is blue. I then abandon said pet what is the difference between them and a blue pet? I do think people should work for there pets, but I dont think there is anything wrong with the rare chance of finding a good pet in the pound. I mean common finding a painted pet in the pound is about as likely as finding a rare paintbrush on the floor.
Also I think this new system is going to result in alot of unfair/illegal selling of pets. Before there was nothing to say that a transfer would go smoothly and so people where very unlikely have risked the Neopoints for the pet. But now I see the selling becoming more likely with a transfer easily done.
