Is it too much to say thank you

#1 Post by Azzie »

I went to the chats and sent a glamour negg to someone who was complaining that their glamour negg buy turned out to have no pteri mp in it. Apparently the person used it since i saw that the person had a blue pteri when i went to the lookup.

But not a whisper of thanks. I don't want a marching band congratulating me for my deed, but is a simple thanks too much to ask for.

It turns me sour :(

some people are just rude, but do you have your settings set to neofriends only?

but yes, i did something like that once, and they just walked off with it without a word of thanks. or they don't stop bugging you for items.
If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

no, my settings are normal :/

It's happened to me quite a few times already. I remember when i had a tiger bed in my neohome that i gave to someone. The person didnt thank me. I had to wait a long long time to buy another tiger bed for my neohome.

You know what, why bother forcing someone to acknowledge something if they don't even have the courtesy to do so in the first place.

some people are just mean. Don't send them a neomail asking for a thanks.Chances are they will just send you some neomail saying that you are a scammer and you are reported or something like that.

Argh! people on neopets are under no obligation to show a shred of civil decency, whatsoever. There is nothing preventing someone from taking a gift from you and shouting "haha, sucka, thanks for the freebie, they took gullible out of the dictionary you moron!" etc etc.

Just dont give stuff out to people. It's not worth it. 1/15,000 people will write you a nice mail back thanking you, but thats it. Just send stuff to people who actually matter, e.g friends on PPT, guild friends. Not some whiner on the neoboards who's too lazy to save, what, 8k for a glamour negg.
