How do some people get a jump start on all the new. Like today for example some people started the craze for the dark nova avie before it was released by TNT. Whats up?

they mess with urls and find images and such

And when they find random days, they can usually conclude that their will be a new avatar and start hoarding items, but even sometimes if you hoard you might hoard the wrong kind of items. Example people hoarded novas today to find out that only dark novas and weapons with dark nova worked for the avatar so its a risky business.

Indeed, there was a guy on the Neoboards last night who'd purchased in excess of 300 Novas but only 1 Dark Nova. Hoarding requires making assumptions and sometimes it can be a risky business.

I know some PPTers keep an eye on the Unreleased/New thread under General Chat to see any unreleased items that might indicate a theme Wednesday and hence a special type of avatar
