Does anyone know of some free image hosts that allow .gifs and don't put their website's name on your image and allow direct linking?

Hmmm...maybe http://photobucket.com/ is the best for you. It allows direct linking and also gifs. but I don't know about that other one. It's what I use and it's pretty good if you ask me.

Ooh thank you! I'd tried three places that didn't work before and was beginning to loose hope. :D

Walagata is very good too. No red X of doom, and its completely free. I host my Avatar and signature there. It gives you 1,000,000 bytes of file storage.

Is my favorite. You don't need an account. You can start uploading straight on the main page whenever you need to (if it does not get viewed for more than a year then it is deleted).

1,000,000 bytes is no more than 1 MB -- thats not much. I used to use http://www.boomspeed.com ALONG time ago (about 1 and a half years ago). I dont remember the specs and im sure its changed but they used to allow hotlinking (I've also heard they went to shambles:))...

I'd just keep in mind if you use Photobucket that they resize pictures larger than 250kb. Other than that though, it's very good.
