Police first learned of the injury after a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy claimed that someone had thrown gasoline on the 17-year-old at the Common Cents service station and lit him on fire, said Lt. Rod Hauge.

The boy was taken to the hospital with second- and third-degree burns on his legs. Police were called to the hospital to investigate the incident and later learned that the 17-year-old spilled gas on his pants while siphoning gas. He then used a lighter to try to determine how wet his pants were and set himself of fire, Hague said.

Both boys have been ticketed with larceny, Hauge said.

good.

So it's funny when a Human being, who -Inspite of what you want to believe is smarter than any other animal on this earth- seriously injures himself.
But when Somone kills an animal to eat and cloth himself (relatively speaking ofcourse) Hes a murderer who should be strung up by his loins and flogged.

Interesting group you Humans.

That has got to be the stupidest idea since the guy that tried to rob a bank with a uniformed police officer in line just ahead of him. :lol:

It wasn't a bank. The guy tried to rob a donut shop.

Pretty much, yes. ^_^

People are just getting pathetic. I mean, why would you hold a lighter up to your pants? Surely you can tell how wet they are by, perhaps, touching them? Another thing, why would you take a lighter with you to steal gas? It's so sad when natural selection fails.

I think the point is that the human was doing something to deserve it but the animal was innocent.

well obviously there's more to the story (or they were seriously drunk)

IMO it happened something like this:

Dude1: Hey! Wanna bet you're too afraid to put yourself on fire?
Dude2: What? Are you crazy, I aint gonna do that!
Dude1: Here's 150 $!
Dude2: *puts self on fire*
Dude1: Wow that's cool!
Dude2: AAAH! Call an ambulance!
Dude1: Too chicken to do it yourself?
Dude2: ... *still on fire*
Dude1: *calls an ambulance*
