My favorite when I was a kid was Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. I read banned picture books.

I liked The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and this weird book about Mexican jumping beans. I can't remember what it was called, but I loved it.

Wow, let me think about this. I had shelves and shelves of children's books that were read to me.

I remember I was read The Hobbit a lot so I must have really enjoyed that. The Babysitters Club, and Nancy Drew books also. As for picture books, probably Bugs Bunny's Carrot Machine, and The Wind in the Willows.

Im not sure what you are talking about but that reminded me of another great story that I loved as a kid. I dont know what it was called but it was about a lion who discovers snow.

Rowan of Rin by Emily Rodda. Read to me in primary school. It's still one of my favourite books.

I really enjoyed The Indian in the Cupboard series and never forgot Two Weeks with the Queen. Oh, and I discovered Harry Potter when my teacher read it to us.

Oh wow, I remember that series. That was a good one.

As for me, it's a little cliche because it's a Christmas book, but it's The Polar Express.

Speculation Central - Thinking about the future... Today!

hmms, well lets see. As I had at least two books read to me every night when I was little there's a lot of fond memories.
But one of my favorites and the one with the best story attached was "There's A Train Going By My Window." My dad was going out of town for a while so he taped himself reading it and a few others so every night I could have him read me a story even if he wasn't there.

One of my favorites has to be one of the first books ever read to me... "Rabbit and Skunk and the Big Fight". Really highbrow literature, as I'm sure you can tell from the title.

My mom started reading it to me when I was 2 and when I learned to read I literally read it over and over until it fell apart.

my dad read me almost all 350 pages of The Complete Stories of Winnie the Pooh =]
