Buried treasure Price Change

#1 Post by arogance1 »

Usually the Buried Treasure costs 300np, today it is 150np.
I've not been on for 2 days, so when did this change and is it permanent?

Neopets' birthday is on November 15th, and as a result, they change some things around that time. Buried Treasure should be 150 NP per play for the entire month of November. The week of Neopets' birthday, you'll see other fun things around the site :)

Heh. I saw that it was 150nps, and it didn't even register. Shows how much attention I was paying!

Ohh thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy. I noticed that I was 150 NP a couple days ago and thought it was a change, but couldn't be sure it hadn't always been like that. Shows you how observant I am, right?

This is my third November on Neopets but I don't remember this particular price change. Do they do this one every year?

Yep, it is 150nps for the month of November and free on Neo's birthday.

Going by last year, we may also get (some might be because of the Birthday Site Theme):

* You will also get 5 games instead of 3 for the week starting the 15th.
* The Wheel of Excitement is free on the 15th.
* Increased number of concert hall tickets available.
* Increased chance of a Paint Brush or Codestone RE.
* Maximum amount of nps goes up to 3000nps to visit the Soup Faerie.

That one always makes me :roflol:. I mean, seriously. Why bother? Now, if it was free all day...that'd be a different story.
Ah well.

Edit: after much perseverance, I finally got the Sewage Surfer avvie.

Such a shame it won't stay like this for good.
I always thought 300 was too much just to play that silly game.

I'm pretty sure when they changed it to 3000np, it stayed that way for good. I could be wrong though. (but that never happens :p)

I think you're right that they changed it for good. It's 3k right now (although that might not mean anything at the moment.)

Also I think that everyone can visit the soup fairy (regardless of cash on hand) on fairy day. (I'm hoping I can get the avatar at that point)

Yep, your probably right. I only went off last years news - the neopoints on hand may go up or anyone can visit on the day.

Also, technically, the 15th of every month brings a "significant" boost in good results from visiting Coltzan's shrine as a result of the first birthday to bring about the rest of the changes. But I literally haven't gotten one good result on the 15th in all the months since I started paying attention to that again.
