windows live messenger

[Oops]

ive been trying to install the new version of windows live messenger. But everytime i go install it, it says an older version of windows live messenger could not be uninstalled.

If i go to Change or Remove Programs, and try and uninstall the old version of windows live messenger i get a fatal error.

any help?

p.s. ive looked on live.com for help but cant find anything useful.

I cant help you on this one, but i would say look on some forums elsewhere that help out on this type of thing...

There should be someone else on the forums here that can most likely help though

Do you still have the old messenger exe file saved? Re-install that then try uninstalling.
