Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

What courses are you taking next year?

#1 Post by Starchaser »

I suppose this really goes along with the "Next Year" thread... but meh, we need more threads anyhow. If you're in school, what classes are you taking next year?

Me:
Honors Math Analysis
Honors English 10
AP Physics B
Advanced Orchestra
French 2
AP European History

*gulp*
Not going to be a fun year... you?

-Spanish 3
-Art/P.E (Each one semester, they're year-long courses, but I only have to take a semester of each since I completed a semester of fine arts and P.E at my old school last year)
-English 11
-Chemistry
-Algebra 2
-U.S History

Big year...

-Algebra I Honors (most likely, but I'm not sure. Math teacher hasn't recommended people yet.)
-Science
-World Geography
-English
-Health/ PE (1 semester for each)
-My elective.... (I'm not sure what it'll be, we only get to know on the first day of school. Anyways it'll be one of my four choices which are:
Spanish I Honors, Drama, Student Aid and Publications Yearbook.)

And that'll be my 8th grade year...

Algebra I Honors
English Accelerated 8
World Geography
Spanish I
Advanced Drama
Physical Science

I get to skive out of PE and Health for Spanish I, because I'm in this program thingy for geniuses and they said it would be better if I took Spanish instead of the other courses. Hey, I'm not complaining.

I see a lot of APers here. Bwahahaha. I hope you all suffer nice and proper, like I did. Am I bitter? Of course not. ;)

In the fall, I will be taking:

ARTH 254, Constructs of Modernism
CHIN 111, Elementary Written Chinese (Embarassing? Yes I know.)
CHEM 107, Intro. Chemistry Principles I
ANTH 166, Intro. to Social Anthropology

I'm positive that I'm going to forget my name and be the first person ever to get a 0 on an AP.

No you won't. If I didn't forget my name, then it's impossible for you to. Besides, they tell you to right in the beginning. If you forget then, then you really deserve to fail.

How sad...I can't take AP classes until at least my junior year.

Since I can't, however, I'm taking:

Honors English 10
Algebra II
Advanced Biology
Sociology
Newspaper [Editor - wahoo!]
Health 1 (I had an extra science class this year, so I had to drop it. Now I must take it with the freshmen... )
20th Century Studies (Stupid standard classes...)
Spanish III

Oh yes, good times. A few super-easy ones (Health 1, 20th Century), and some that will probably kill my 4.0 (Advanced Biology).

That reminds me, I have to talk to my counselor tomorrow. My courses are all messed up.

Science 10 (normal or enriched, my timetable's conflicting and I may have to give up enriched)
Symphonic Band 10/11/12
Planning 10 (stupid new course that's forced on us)
English 10
French 10
Principles of Mathematics 11 (if only there was an 11 enriched. ;_;)
Social Studies 11
Physical Education 10 Boys

Perhaps I'll try for IB/AP classes in my grade 11 year. That'll mean I'd have to switch schools...

[late edit] Whee, summer school. :) That brings socials up a notch...

I don't select my subjects, but I'm planning to do:

- Year 11 Music
- Year 11 French
- Year 11 English Lit.
- Year 11 Maths Methods
- Year 12 Hospitality
- Year 12 Legal Studies

I don't think that's going to change between now and then...
Gone, forever.
