My stealth system shorts out...uh, can't stay "hidden"
Two or three times recently, I've had to log in due to the forum issues that must've reset login cookies or something. All of those times, I've clicked "keep me logged in", as always, and also "hide my online status", which is a brand-new preference of mine. And it doesn't work. The latter, I mean. I don't stay hidden. I am shown as online in my profile and next to my posts, and my name shows up in lists of people online, people browsing x forum, so forth. What is going on?
No, I never officially left; yes, I am gone forever. I have also permanently left AIM. If you need to contact me, drop a line on LJ. Same username.

Huh, that's weird. It still works fine for me, I'm invisibible at the moment.

Not sure if it's the case here, but there are some forums where you can see yourself in the list of online users even if no one else can.

PPT isn't one of those forums where you can see yourself online even if you're hidden. I'm hidden all the time and I never see my name on the list of who's online at the bottom of the forum or specific board.
