With a new movie going to be released somewhat soon *points to his Clockdown clock on his desktop . . . all three of them . . .* and the Original Trilogy just recently released on DVD, it's a great time to be a Star Wars fan.

As a huge fan of the movies myself, I took it upon myself to create an official thread for all things Star Wars ^_^ If you are a fan of the movies, share here!

And please, do not turn this into a prequel-bashing thread.

Episode 1 = Fairly rubbish
Episode 2 = Took rubbishness to a new level
Episode 3 = Will take rubbishness to a higher plane of rubbishness.

I only watch the original trilogy, I even bought the 1995 VHS tapes off Ebay so I could still watch it without all the new fangled special effects, I saw the starwars ep III trailer on TRL yesterday, not thaqt it showed you much. But I'll go see it, not expecting it to be good though.

I thought its more like this:

1 = The epitamy of crap
2 = Has the same weak plot of 1, but shiney special effects and super-yoda action.
3 = One of two things: Either the anti-climactic end of Lucases career, or a triumphant epic movie.

ive seen the preview (AOL does somthing for me!)
ive seen the super killy capital ship battles.
ive seen an X-wing.
ive seen the chewie ARMY!
tis looking good i must admit, and im no fan of star wars.

Yeah the preview was alright. they only showed liked maybe 20 seconds of the actual movie the wasted the rest of the preview on the old stuff. But yeah looks like yoda will be fighting once again. And natalie portman look mui calienta!(i hope i just said what i meant to said. I don't know spanish)

Well, IV, V, and VI were good.......
You just have to hope that III will be good too.

From the preview I saw on my 11 o'clock news here I thought it looked interesting. I can't wait to see that bad actor turn into Darth Vader lol I thought they chose poorly for Skywalker.

A lot of people have been ragging on Hayden Christiensen for playing the part of Anakin Skywalker. Originally I thought so as well, until I saw him in other movies. I think he's a great actor, he just doesn't have the best dialogue to work with ^_^

I have yet to see any of his other movies but I just don't like him in Star Wars. My view might change until I see something else of his. I was also getting quite confused with Padme. How old is she supposed to be anyway? She never ages and yet Ani did lol

See the movie Life As A House. It's really good, and he's really good in it (and gothic, yum!).
As for Padme, I heard my friend's mum explain it this way: Padme's from a different planet than Anakin. Maybe people on her planet age much much slower.

Padme is from Naboo, I wouldn't see why she would age differently...In Episode I Anakin was like eight or somehting and she was 14, so shes like 6 years older then him, Anakin was still too young in my opinion a teenager version of hi in the movie would have been much better idea.
