I adopted a Grral this morning, and now he is gone. I've tried refreshing the page and looking in my user lookup.

Does anyone have any idea? Should I go ahead and adopt another pet?

Did he have an inappropriate name? Perhaps that might have been the reason and he could've been cleared by TNT. OR, it could be a glitch.

If he's not in your user lookup, is he owned by someone else? What happens when you search his name?

No, the name was just a half dozen numbers. I didn't even write them down, and the pet was so new that I don't remember what the numbers were, so I can't look the pet up in the search. I didn't notice anything about the numbers. It seems odd that the pet would be removed after I adopted him.

I guess it could be a glitch. It was startling though. I noticed the absence after I went to check the pet that had fought in the batttledome. The pet that fought was there, but the new pet was gone.

It's possible that the numbers could've been '407', which in 1337 means hot, which is considered inappropriate.

I can't think of anything else besides that it would be a glitch...

I just now changed my password, in case someone got into my account. But the lost pet had really bad stats and was not painted, so I don't think anyone would want him. I was going to fix him up so someone else would adopt him.

Wierd, it sounds like a glitch because it's stats were no good. I'd report what happened so TNT can fix it ASAP!!

This happened to someone else. They have five pets because of it. Look up stupidglitch8mypets, then read their owner's lookup. One day, her pets disappeared, so she went to create a new one, and all four returned, leaving her with five pets.

Lol, if that is true, TNT is over stringent for their own good... can't I even say that the weather is hot?

I belive there was an outcry when someone was frozen for doing just than on the neoboards. Whether it was a freezebot, or an overzealous mod, we'll never know, but I do know that whoever the person was, didn't get their account back.

Thank you all for the diacussion. It's not quite the same as the person who had all of their pets vanish, this was just the newest one.

This morning the pets that I had last night, including a new adopted pet (that I adopted after the other one vanished), are still there. It will be interesting to see if TNT responds to my bug report and if they have any ideas about what happened.

Something like that happened to me a while ago...
I managed to get a painted Krawk with good stats and a good name from the pound....
About a minute later it was gone, went to someone elses account. According the the owner, she got hacked, someone put her pet in the pound, and tnt only returned her pet to her.

The only thing is, the pet had about the poorest stats I've ever seen. The stats were all very slow, extremely weak... like that.

Yeah but the owner could still want it. And there are plenty of other reasons why the account could have been hacked.

So it's a possibility to add to the list.

Too bad you can't remember the pet's name -- i understand though -- i'd never remember the numbers after one of my current labbing pet's names
