User Preferences, take a look, make sure everything's right (your email, etc.), then click Site Preferences - block EVERYTHING for now - nf requests, items sent to you, bd, etc.

All you have to do is go to Help, User Prefs, Site Preferances, and there you go. ;)

Did your account ever log off while you were online? Because two people cannot be on the same account at once, someone has to log off.

Drama, actually 2 people can be on the same account on 2 computers at the same time. This should not be possible in my opinion, but it has happened, people on this forum have told me they've done it.

You will be logged out if someone changes the password, that's my understanding.

Ah. Then I misunderstood another thread. I think some sort of alert should come up on Neopets when another is in your account.

Well, since I have two computers and a laptop I can confirm that you can be on one account on more then 2 computers.Cause I can be logged in on this computer, then I can login on my mom's also, and I can also be on my laptop all on the same account at the same time.I don't get logged out or anything.
Personally I don't think it's safe to be on sites like your e-mail or Neopets at places like school or the library. There's a chance people could be finding out stuff from that.Even if you do logout. If I remember right there are ways to still find stuff out.
Either way it goes though you need to make sure to send a form in to Neopets about them. They have a policy about people doing stuff like that.

Hi bubba, ok, I thought I read that it was possible to be logged into the same account on 2 computers. That's something I think needs changing to be honest. Especially since it's against the rules to share accounts - and that's why alot of people would be doing that.

I agree it's not safe to use a public computer. First you could forget to log out, second someone could be sitting near you and watch you type in your username and password for anything really. If you have to use a public computer you should always be aware of who's around, always log out and if you can, clear the cookies.

Metalmario, if you use IE click tools, Internet Options. Then click to clear cookies, temporary internet and history. That's something I do when I leave ANY site as part of my safe surfing policy, along with never storing passwords, etc.

This has to be someone who knows you in real life. Maybe someone who used to be your friend but no longer is or a classmate or the sibling of a friend of yours--even if that friend is someone that you know and trust. Or someone who is pretending to be your friend but really isn't. Or even a sibling (or relative) of your own (as an older sister, I know from experience that siblings can be mean as heck if you have "wronged" them).

There are just too many things that they know about you for it to be someone you know through PPT or IM.

Do you know anyone in your town, school, sports team, Sunday School class who plays Neopets? And, if so, has this person ever had access to your account or your password, etc. or know someone who has had access to your account/password?

I've seen it before--on the PPT forums where a friend stole from another friend because they were "desperate" and with my daughter and her "former" best friend--who are now vicious enemies because of Neopets--the friend and my daughter shared an account (bad news)--then the friend thought my daughter stole from it when, in actuality, the friend had given the password to countless other so-called "friends."

I very much agree with everything Morningstar just said, i'm a bit late, but I had thought the same when I read what had happen, quite creepy, I agree.

That very start sentence really caught my eye there. My best friend called me greedy, selfish and so on, and we both left our great guild. One of the newer members of the guild had talk to us because we really did liked that guild and was shocked that two best friends who were also council members had left because of one little silly arguement.

Of course, I insulted her for saying such things, it wasn't a small arguement, it was very big. And that she had not know any of us for more than 3 days and I was personally hurt and continuesly annoyed by what she said to me but that wasn't the point.

I had told her that my best friend and I would forgive eachother when the school holidays are over, and that we wouldn't let such a sad thing such as neopets, and internet game, would destroy our 8 year friendship. Indeed I was rightm I don't knowh ow your daughter and her 'friend' became enemies over a internet game of virtual pets.

Hynsfaerie, I don't know how I can help, I was mysteriously hacked twice in 3 months and lost over 5mil and tons of bd items and petpets. Did you have any petpets attached? If you did and they were taken off, I don't think it was a prank by anyone. Check with all your friends, siblings, classmates or anyone else that you know that they know how to play neoepts and make sure you don't reply to random neomails again, it's to risky when you don't know who you're talking to.

hmm...the solution is really simple. do not answer to such neomails. answering back normally leads to more complication. random neofriend requests with no reason are mostly not worthy of replying. if you don't respond, they would most likely lose interest and give up.

Hyn, first off, I need to ask you a question. Are your local library's computers linked together using the one server? If so, then that may be your problem. 3 years ago, I was on neopets in my primary school and I logged on. Once people had seen me on the site they went to it on their computers and they were logged in as me. Luckly, one of my friends was on it next to me and realised they were on as me and I poromptly logged out. This has made me realise that if you are logged in on one computer, then you are logged in on all the computers who share the same modem or server. So that .ccy person could have done it if they were at the library at the same time as you.
