You are right about there being some cars in Neopia, Siniri. I initially read it as a car, not a TOY car!

I have too much going on here in RL, and I am not thinking straight. I barely get on to do the AC.

Well, now we know how the toy car fits into the animation. But seriously, what the heck was that animation about? And since when have there been full-sized tires in Neopia? I've never seen one in Wicked Wocky Wobble, either.

I wonder if there was supposed to be a second prize yesterday. If so, it was probably piratey/underwater. I think this is the first time that TNT screwed up the prizes? Maybe? *sigh* JS, you never cease to disappoint.

Oh, and the plushie was the wrong color. Again. And if you're not going to use apostrophes in the description, JS, just don't use a contraction. "He is" is just about as quick to type as "he's." (But seriously, how have you not learned how to use apostrophes in text yet?)

Sorry, guess I'm feeling grouchy because I had trouble falling asleep last night and then woke up half an hour before the alarm on top of that. Insomnia stinks, especially when you're sick.

I can't remember if apostrophes are possible to use in the descriptions or not? I think not, at a glance through several pages of my SDB, I'm not seeing any, and I'm seeing words that should have them...

How come some items (especially older ones) have no commas or apostrophes in their description or name when one is needed? Example: the description of the Voidplant. Signed, Punctuation Friend
Actually no items have commas or apostrophes! It irks me too, my fellow punctuation-minded friend, but our system doesn't like those for some reason, and always gets rid of the ones we type in. Oh well, what can ya do!

Last week you said that using apostrophes in item descriptions would make the site go all breaky. Why not use proper English and write "can not" instead of "cant" (can't)? ~neoknight_xvi
We occasionally do, though sometimes it seems a bit too formal if the rest of the description is more colloquial in tone

Because of the way the site was originally coded, there are a TON of pages that would break due to having an apostrophe in the item description. D: We'd love to fix that, of course, but it would take a lot of effort, and we'd prefer to focus on fun new content. Consider it a quirk that comes with a site that's now 14 years old.

Thanks for the research on the apostrophes. A long time ago someone taught me to "never" use contractions when writing. I can not say that I have never done it, but it is generally rare. Seeing it does not bug me, but seeing a contraction without the apostrophe does.

Yeah, I know why they don't include apostrophes... It's just ridiculous that they haven't fixed the issue yet. I'm not putting all the blame on JS; TNT should have had an ongoing program to update old code from its early stages. The site was pretty broken before the transfer broke things even more. (And to be fair, the apostrophe issue is fairly minor, so I really don't think it's that important... But I personally would find a way to reword it rather than have it be incorrect.)
