Pound will be up on Monday...or not

Kudos to TNT! A day late isn't too bad, all things considered.
I do hope they start unfreezing the nicer pets slowly, though. Just for their name's sakes, ya know?

I like the new look, too. Having the different doors is cool. The adoption section looks easier, too.
Makes me wish I had a 5th spot to adopt, lab, and abandon/transfer once they look cooler. I'm too attached to my pets names to give any of 'em up.

I just knew the pound would open while I was asleep.

I stayed up very late yesterday and woke early, even this morning, I have woken up early, but have missed the 'opening'. The only 'good' thing I suppose, is that none of the pets I wanted were available - TNT removed them all.


Anyway, the pound looks very nice. Kudos TNT!! I will be transferring a pet later on when I wake up more.

If anyone's looking for a nicely named pet, I just saw "Hyadan" which seems nice. Capitalized and everything!

Edit: Hyadan gone, but here are more I've found: Dhuckay (gone), pigyoo, nickerr (gone), slammty (gone), ParadiseManifested(gone) ...well that was quick! Someone go get poor little pigyoo! lol
And there's a pet with a semi-rare petpet I'm trying to grab but it keeps telling me it doesn't exist in the pound. Glitch?

So... does anyone know yet if transferring or abandoning a pet make the pet converted or not... cause i want to transfer my maraquan krawk but sadly i don't want to risk her being converted

I too am wondering this, and asked the boards and got this: "I just transferred my unconverted faerie lenny, and she's till unconverted ^^" so I'm guessing it leaves them as is.

If anyone is making a pet any time soon, see if you can put dashes in the name. I just saw a pet in the pound with dashes (not underscores but actual dashes) in the name. It was something like my-little-buddy and then some rubbish number and letters. It might be an old grundo from way back when they allowed dashes. But maybe it was just made and they are allowing the dashes again?

Has anyone noticing the pound spazzing today? Earlier I was going through pets a mile a minute practically. I have a good fast connection. Now it seems like ever three refreshes or so I get "no pet by that name exists" or "no pets were located" and messages like that. I don't know if it is glitching or intended to do that to slow people down.

I transferred my unconverted yurble and he's still his lovely unconverted self. Just for those who wanted more clarification on that issue. I'm glad because it means my BD pet can get me some avs on my sides so I can look super cool.

yeah I see it too, about after every 5 or so refreshes. Sometimes only two pets show up, once it was one pet shown twice. Likely still glitchy, though it would be good to have a system in place to slow people down and decrease server loads a bit- something like RSbans maybe?

is it just me or are grundos over-represented in the pound? I've seen some nice pets (checkered chomby, island korbat) but the majority them seem to be grundos- basic colors and painted ones (yellow, purple)
and what happens to pound pets no-one likes? Do they flush them out of the system after X period of time, if only to free up memory (I doubt anyone would want those names)? Or do they stay there forever in suspended animation?

Transfer seems pretty flawless though.

I have seen SO MANY boards today about people losing "their pet" because they didn't have the patience to wait a month and had used up their one safe transfer. I have seen so many boards with people crying because the new owners wouldn't give back "their pet". I just want to warn you that if you abandon a pet now, you will most certainly lose it. Before you might have a chance during nonpeak hours and using the quick adopt link. It doesn't work the same way now. If you care about your pet, wait one month to do it safely. If you don't think you can possibly wait, just sit and think a minute how you would feel if you lost your pet. If you don't think you would feel sorry, and want to risk it, then go for it if you must. But don't call the new owners cruel or insensitive if they don't want to give back "your pet".
